Androgen

A class of steroid hormones that stimulate or control the development and maintenance of male characteristics in vertebrates. These hormones bind to androgen receptors, influencing the growth of male reproductive organs and the development of secondary sexual characteristics. Testosterone is the primary androgen in males, produced mainly in the testes.
