Testicular feminization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011892
A genetic condition, also known as androgen insensitivity syndrome, in which individuals who are genetically male (XY chromosomes) are resistant to male hormones (androgens). This resistance results in the development of female external genitalia, despite the presence of testes. The testes are typically located in the abdomen or inguinal canal.
