Testosterone

A principal androgenic steroid hormone, primarily produced in the Leydig cells of the testes in males and in smaller amounts by the ovaries in females and the adrenal glands in both sexes. It is responsible for the development of male secondary sexual characteristics, spermatogenesis, and maintaining bone density and muscle mass. Its chemical structure is a C19 steroid.
