Estrogen-mimetic
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004109
A substance that mimics the effects of natural estrogens in the body by binding to estrogen receptors and eliciting similar biological responses. These compounds can be synthetic, such as some pharmaceuticals, or naturally occurring, like phytoestrogens found in plants. They can disrupt endocrine function by interfering with normal hormonal signaling.
