Numerical response
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008165
A change in the population density of a predator species in response to a change in the density of its prey. This ecological concept describes how predator numbers increase or decrease as the availability of their food source fluctuates. It is a key component in understanding predator-prey dynamics and population regulation within ecosystems.
