Ecological parameter

A measurable characteristic of an ecosystem or a population within it, used to describe its state, function, or response to environmental changes. These parameters can include population density, biomass, species diversity, or nutrient cycling rates. Monitoring ecological parameters provides data for assessing environmental health and the impact of human activities.
