Functional response
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004718
The relationship between the consumption rate of a predator and the density of its prey. This describes how the feeding rate of an individual consumer changes as the availability of its food source varies. Three main types exist: Type I (linear), Type II (saturating), and Type III (sigmoidal), each representing different feeding behaviors.
