Anovulation

The absence of ovulation, which is the release of an egg from the ovary during the menstrual cycle. This condition results in infertility as no ovum is available for fertilization. Anovulation can be caused by hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovary syndrome, excessive exercise, or stress, and it is a common cause of female infertility.
