In vitro fertilization

A medical procedure in which an egg is fertilized by sperm outside the body, in a laboratory setting. The resulting embryo is then transferred into the uterus of the female to establish a pregnancy. This technique is a common treatment for infertility and involves several stages, including ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, fertilization, and embryo transfer.
