Perennial stream

1. A stream that runs continuously throughout the year.

2. A watercourse that flows throughout a majority of the year in a well-defined channel and whose bottom (in rainfall dominant regimes) is below the local water table throughout most of the year.

3. A perennial stream has flowing water year-round during a typical year. The water table is located above the stream bed for most of the year. Groundwater is the primary source of water for stream flow. Runoff from rainfall is a supplemental source of water for stream flow.
