Polychlorinated Dibenzo-p-Dioxins

1. A family of 75 congeners of which 7 are thought to have dioxin-like toxicity. The polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin structure consists of two benzene rings joined by two ortho oxygen atoms and varying degrees of chlorine atom substitution on the remaining carbon atoms in the rings.

2. Any member of a class of dibenzo-p-dioxins with two to eight chlorine substituents.
