Polymerization reaction type
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-021549
1. The act or process of changing to a polymeric form. Polymerization consists of reactions that form a compound (polymer), usually of high molecular weight, by combination of simpler molecules (monomers).
2. The process of combining two or more unsaturated organic molecules to form a single (heavier) molecule with the same elements in the same proportions as in the original molecule.
