Pond Habitat

A naturally confined body of water less than 8 hectares (20 acres) in size, lacking an active wave-formed or bedrock shoreline feature, with a low-water depth of less than 2 meters (6.6 feet) in the deepest part of the basin. For the purposes of this (the source) database, Pond refers to the water and substrate of the pond, not including vegetation bordering the pond.
