Through increased production or release, or inhibited degradation, Prostaglandin Activity Induction involves initiation of the biological function of compounds derived primarily from arachidonic acid (cyclooxygenase pathway) (prostaglandins) having potent regulatory effects on the activity of cells involved in host defense and inflammation.
