Through decreased production or release, or enhanced degradation, Prostaglandin Activity Inhibition involves interference with, or restraint of, the biological function of compounds derived primarily from arachidonic acid (cyclooxygenase pathway) (prostaglandins) having potent regulatory effects on the activity of cells involved in host defense and inflammation.
