Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-023033

1. A radiometer is an instrument for detecting and measuring the intensity of the sun's energy in the electromagnetic spectrum. Measured radiation is characterized by its frequency of oscillation of ultraviolet, visible, and infrared frequencies.

2. Radiometers are meters used to detect and measure radiant energy that can be either electromagnetic or acoustic and measure radiated electromagnetic power. Types of radiometers include: infrared, multichannel filter, multiflyer and step frequency.
