1. Having the tendency to chemically combine with something else and change its form. For example, a strong acid is highly reactive with a strong base.
2. One of four categories of hazardous waste.
3. Substances capable of changing into something else in the presence of other chemicals, usually violently or producing a hazardous by-product.
