Recreational Vehicle

1. Vehicles that are subject to evaporative emission standards in 40 CFR part 1051. This generally includes engines that will be installed in recreational vehicles if the engines are certified separately under 40 CFR 1051.20.
2. Relating to a vehicle intended by the vehicle manufacturer to be operated primarily for pleasure.
3. For purposes of this part, relating to snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, off-highway motorcycles, and other vehicles that we regulate under this part. Note that 40 CFR parts 90 and 1054 apply to engines used in other recreational vehicles.
4. Vehicle which is:(1) Built on a single chassis;(2) Four hundred square feet or less when measured at the largest horizontal projections;(3) Self-propelled or permanently towable by a light duty truck; and(4) Designed primarily not for use as a permanent dwelling but as temporary living quarters for recreational, camping, travel, or seasonal use.
