Regeneration

1. Manipulation of cells to cause them to develop into whole plants.
2. In a catalytic process the reactivation of the catalyst, sometimes done by burning off the coke deposits under carefully controlled conditions of temperature and oxygen content of the regeneration gas stream.
3. The process of replacing older trees removed by harvest or disaster with young trees.
