Sanitary Sewer

1. A pipe or conduit (sewer) intended to carry wastewater or water-borne wastes from homes, businesses, and industries to the POTW.
2. A sewer that transports only wastewaters (from domestic residences and/or industries) to a wastewater treatment plant.
3. Conduit intended to carry liquid and water-carried wastes from residences, commercial buildings, industrial plants and institutions together with minor quantities of ground, storm and surface waters that are not admitted intentionally.
