Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-024813

1. Exploration of realistic, hypothetical scenarios related to hydraulic fracturing activities using computer models. Used to identify conditions under which hydraulic fracturing activities may adversely impact drinking water resources.

2. An approach to quantifying exposure by measurement or estimation of both the amount of a substance contacted, and the frequency/duration of contact, and subsequently linking these together to estimate exposure or dose. [U.S. EPA Guidelines for Exposure Assessment (https://cfpub.epa.gov/ncea/risk/hhra/recordisplay.cfm?deid=15263)]
