Sedimentary rock

1. A rock that is the result of consolidation of sediments.

2. A rock resulting from the consolidation of loose sediment that has accumulated in layers. Examples are sandstone, shale and limestone.

3. Rock composed of sediments, or ores formed during a process of sedimentation.
