Steam reforming

1. Catalytic process that involves a reaction between natural gas or other light hydrocarbons and steam. The result is a mixture of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and water.
2. The process for reacting a hydrocarbon fuel, such as natural gas, with steam to produce hydrogen as a product. This is a common method for bulk hydrogen generation.
