Suspended Solid

1. Solids that either float on the surface or are suspended in water or other liquids, and which are largely removable by laboratory filtering.
2. The quantity of material removed from water in a laboratory test, as prescribed in standard methods for the examination of water and wastewater.
3. Small particles of solid pollutants that float on the surface of, or are suspended in, sewage or other liquids. They resist removal by conventional means.
