1. Any solvent used to reduce the viscosity or solids content of a coating.
2. Liquid that is used to reduce the viscosity of a coating and that evaporates before or during the cure of a film.
3. Volatile liquid that is used to dilute coatings or contact adhesives (to reduce viscosity, color strength, and solids, or to modify drying conditions).
