Water quality limited segment

1. Any segment where it is known that water quality does not meet applicable water quality standards, and/or is not expected to meet applicable water quality standards, even after the application of the technology-based effluent limitations required by sections 301(b) and 306 of the Act.
2. Any segment where it is known that water quality does not meet applicable water quality standards, and/or is not expected to meet applicable water quality standards, even after the application of the technology-based effluent limitations required by CWA sections 301(b) and 306.
1. Those water segments which do not or are not expected to meet applicable water quality standards even after the application of technology-based effluent limitations required by sections 301(b) and 306 of the Clean Water Act (40 CFR 130.29(j)). Technology-based controls include, but are not limited to, best practicable control technology currently available (BPT) and secondary treatment.
