Antiballoon

A characteristic or treatment applied to textile fibers or fabrics to prevent the formation of small, fuzzy balls of fiber on the surface, known as pilling or ballooning. This property is achieved through fiber selection, yarn construction, or chemical finishes that increase fiber strength and reduce surface friction. Antiballoon treatments are particularly relevant for knitwear and upholstery fabrics that experience frequent abrasion.
