Backtrack

To taxi an aircraft on a runway in the opposite direction of takeoff or landing, typically to reach the takeoff position at the end of the runway. This maneuver is performed when a taxiway is not available or suitable for reaching the desired runway end. Air traffic control provides specific instructions for backtracking.
