Bobble

A small, spherical knot or tuft of fiber that forms on the surface of knitted or woven fabrics due to abrasion during wear or washing. These small pills detract from the appearance of the textile and can be removed with a fabric shaver. The formation of bobbles is a common issue with certain types of yarns and weaves.
