To remove sizing agents from woven fabrics, which are compounds applied to warp yarns to strengthen them for the weaving process. This initial wet-processing step prepares the textile for subsequent dyeing, printing, and finishing by improving its absorbency and uniformity. Sizing is commonly removed through enzymatic, oxidative, or acid hydrolysis methods.
