Bottle

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000704

A condition in flexographic printing where the pressure between the anilox roll, the printing plate, and the substrate is uneven, causing the plate to lift away from the substrate at its center. This lifting action results in a print defect where the center of the printed area is lighter or has less ink coverage than the edges. The defect's appearance, with darker edges and a faded middle, resembles the shape of a bottle.
