Boxcar

A type of enclosed railroad freight car with a roof and sliding doors on the sides, used for transporting general freight and moisture-sensitive goods. Its enclosed design protects cargo from weather and theft, making it suitable for merchandise ranging from palletized goods and paper rolls to auto parts and canned foods. Standard North American boxcars are built to specifications set by the Association of American Railroads.
