A device under test is any electronic component, circuit, or system that is being evaluated or measured for its performance, functionality, or compliance with specifications. It is connected to test equipment, such as oscilloscopes or spectrum analyzers, to characterize its behavior. The DUT can range from a single transistor to a complex integrated circuit.
