Duster

A machine for cleaning rags, esparto grass, or other raw fibrous materials before they are pulped. It consists of a conical or cylindrical revolving drum fitted with internal spikes that tumble and beat the material, shaking loose dust, dirt, and other foreign particles. The loosened debris falls through a screen or mesh at the bottom of the machine for collection and disposal, preceding any chemical boiling or pulping stages.
