Expedited Forwarding, a per-hop behavior (PHB) defined in Differentiated Services (DiffServ) for IP networks. It specifies a forwarding treatment for a class of traffic that aims to provide a low-loss, low-latency, low-jitter, and assured bandwidth service. EF traffic is often used for real-time applications like voice over IP (VoIP).
