Voice over broadband

A telecommunication service that allows users to make telephone calls over a high-speed internet connection instead of a conventional analog phone line. It converts analog voice signals into digital packets and transmits them using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. The service requires a broadband connection, such as DSL or fiber, and uses either a special VoIP phone or a traditional phone with an analog telephone adapter.
