Fire bucket
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002272
A container, traditionally made of metal or plastic and painted red, filled with sand or water for extinguishing small fires. These are placed in accessible locations in industrial facilities, workshops, and fuel stations where Class A or Class B fires might occur. A bucket filled with dry sand is particularly effective for smothering small liquid spills or metal fires where water would be inappropriate.
