Flood test

A method of checking the watertight integrity of a horizontal surface, such as a shower pan, roof, or plaza deck, by filling the area with water to a specified depth and observing it for a set period. This test identifies leaks before finishes are applied. The water level is typically maintained for 24 to 48 hours.
