Fog out
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002387
A firefighting technique for clearing smoke from a room by setting the hose line to a fog pattern and aiming the spray out through an open window. The air dragged along by the spray carries smoke outside with it. Fire service writers treat it as hydraulic ventilation, a method used when fans or roof openings are unsafe or impractical.
