Fog light

A type of automotive lighting designed to improve visibility in conditions of fog, heavy rain, or snow. Fog lights are mounted low on the vehicle and project a wide, flat beam of light to illuminate the road surface directly in front of the car without reflecting glare back into the driver's eyes. They are typically used at speeds below 40 mph.
