Helmet

A protective head covering, typically made from rigid materials such as plastic, fiberglass, or metal, designed to shield the wearer's head from impact or penetration. While not strictly a textile, many helmets incorporate textile linings or straps for comfort and fit. Helmets are mandated in many industrial and recreational activities for safety.
