Cinchable

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006856

Describing a feature of a garment or textile product, such as a waist, cuff, or opening, that is designed to be tightened or drawn in. This is achieved with a mechanism like a drawstring, cord lock, belt, or adjustable strap, allowing the wearer to modify the fit or shape. Cinchable elements are common in outerwear, athletic apparel, and bags to provide a secure fit and seal out weather. A non-elastic drawstring requires grommets or a channel for movement.
