Hydromesic

Relating to a habitat or site characterized by soils that are moist to wet throughout the growing season but are not permanently saturated. These sites have abundant moisture availability for plant growth without the anaerobic conditions found in fully hydric environments. The soil moisture regime of a hydromesic site falls between that of a mesic (moderately moist) and a hydric (wetland) site.
