Describing a forest stand where the density of trees is optimal for maximizing timber production or other management objectives, without being overcrowded or underutilized. A fully-stocked stand has an appropriate number of trees per unit area to make full use of the site's productive capacity. This condition is often a goal of silvicultural practices.
