An exceptionally rich pocket or seam of gold-bearing ore, or of high-quality opal, in Australian mining slang. The find is so rich and dazzling that it resembles the stock of a jewellery store. The term is applied to gold and opal workings alike, and it names a single exceptional find, not a mine that is merely productive.
