Jet siphon

A device used to transfer water from one portable tank to another, or to draft water from a static source, by using the Venturi effect. A pressurized stream of water from a fire engine creates a vacuum that draws water from the source. Jet siphons are commonly employed in rural firefighting operations without hydrants.
