JFET
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003122
A type of field-effect transistor (FET) that uses a reverse-biased p-n junction to control the current flow through a semiconductor channel. The voltage applied to the gate terminal modulates the width of the depletion region, thereby controlling the channel's resistance. JFETs are known for their high input impedance and low noise characteristics.
