GFET
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002561
A type of field-effect transistor that uses a single layer of carbon atoms, known as graphene, for its main conductive channel. An electric field applied through a gate electrode modulates the conductivity of the graphene, controlling the current flow between the source and drain terminals. Due to graphene's high electron mobility, Graphene Field-Effect Transistors (GFETs) are investigated for high-frequency applications, with experimental devices operating at frequencies exceeding 400 gigahertz.
