Ghost

A false or spurious echo that appears on a radar display, not corresponding to any actual physical object. These unwanted signals can be caused by atmospheric conditions like ducting, reflections from nearby structures, or internal electronic noise within the radar system. A ghost target is identified by its erratic movement, unusual appearance, or failure to correlate with visual sightings or other navigational data.
