Birdie

An unwanted spurious signal or oscillation that appears in the output of an electronic circuit, often at a specific frequency. These signals can arise from intermodulation distortion, harmonic generation, or parasitic oscillations within the circuit. Birdies can interfere with the desired signal, degrading performance in radio receivers or audio equipment.
